Dr. Master is passionate about pediatric and teen health from a natural & preventive health perspective. He has extensive clinical experience in pediatric health and fellowship training in neuro-developmental disorders. In fact, many parents seek advice from Dr. Master regarding the health of their children, especially pertaining to chronic disease/illness and neurological development. Examinations are comprehensive, but differ regarding the developmental stages of infancy, toddler, child, or teen.
It has been said, "As the twig is bent so grows the tree." Likewise, infant development determines future expression. Meaning, if the infant developmental milestones are not attained at the appropriate age level, then the child may "grow" with future difficulties both personally and socially. Dr. Master is uniquely trained to evaluate infant milestone attainment, especially as it pertains to primitive and postural reflexes. Such reflexes are integral for a developing infant as these reflexes represent the neurological foundation of brain development. That is to say any delay noted with a primitive or postural reflex may indicate weaknesses in more complex neurological constructs later on. This may be displayed as attention, learning, behavior, and immune responses, to name a few. Therefore, Dr. Master provides comprehensive neuro-developmental infant examinations to identify and mitigate any aberrant primitive and postural reflexes.
The brain of toddlers and children is under constant dynamic developmental change. Therefore, it is essential for children to be evaluated for any deviation of brain function imbalances. Dr. Master's concern for the child's health and well being is evident from the first clinical encounter. Parents, and children alike, immediately understand that Dr. Master has their best interests at heart. Children, therefore, are at ease and comfortable during the evaluation and management process. This fosters greater growth and brain development as demonstrated socially, educationally, physically, and developmentally.

The brain of a teenager is under tremendous change and development during the transition from a child to young adult. Imbalances in brain function pertaining to certain regions of the brain may result in imbalances in other areas of the teen's life. More than ever, today's teens are faced with social and educational challenges not seen by any other generation prior. As such, an increase in the "fight or flight" response may result in abnormal function of the nervous system. Some conditions affecting teens Dr. Master may be able to help include the following:
